Twig Science Middle School Updates

  • February 29 2024 Multiple Classes Assign and Share: Lessons can now be assigned or shared to multiple classes at once. 
  • February 08 2024 Lesson Slides in Google Classroom and PowerPoint Format: Slides for each lesson can now be downloaded in Google Classroom and PowerPoint formats. This is available for Full Lessons and Fast Track Lessons in both English and Spanish.
  • January 24 2024 Lesson Pacing Guide: We now have pacing guides available for each module.
  • January 19 2024 Module Refill Kit Lists: Material Refill Lists are now available as a PDF for each Module.
  • October 05 2023 Integrated 3D Challenges in Spanish: Integrated 3D Challenges and our Twig Create Video Editor are now available in Spanish.
  • April 04 2023 Science Glossary: A number of user improvements have been made to our Science Glossary where you can search and print out terms for all lessons. 
  • February 20 2023 Edit and Share assessment functionality for admins: District Admins and School Admins can now edit and share assessments. 
  • February 15 2023 Twig Science K6 and Twig Science Middle School are certified by the TrustEd Apps Seal of Data Privacy program of the 1EdTech Consortium (formerly IMS Global Learning Consortium), a non-profit community partnership of leading educational providers, government organizations, and edtech suppliers working together to enable better digital teaching and learning.
  • November 20 2022 Admin Dashboard updates: District Admin and Admin Dashboard has been updated to include quick links to: Assessment Reports, Users, Data Imports and SAML Configuration.
  • November 03 2022 Assessment Explorer: The Assessment Explorer is now located within the Lesson Explorer and provides an overview of assessments available for every grade, module and lesson on Twig Science.
  • September 22  2022 Science Glossary Print outs: Printable vocabulary resources  are now available from the Science Glossary.
  • September 14 2022 Spanish Resources: The following content is now available in Spanish: Sessions, Digital Resources, Assessments and our Science Glossary. Sessions can also be assigned in Spanish. 
  • August 26 2022 Google Slides: Downloadable Google Slides are now available for a number of modules. Google Slides for all lessons will be available by the end of 2022. 
  • August 11 2022 Phenomena Tracker with Class Tracker: The Phenomena Tracker now has a Class Tracker view and student view, allowing teachers to switch between class and student wonder questions and anchor phenomena. 
  • August 01 2022 ReadSpeaker: Lessons on Twig Science now feature an audio player which enables users to listen to all the text on the page. The audio player can be found on lessons pages and student facing resources.
  • July 27 2022 Admin Dashboard : School Admin can now access district assessment reports and browse user data from our Admin Dashboard.
  • June 30 2022 SSO with SAML: Twig Science now supports SAML as a single sign on (SSO) option for school districts. 
  • June 10 2022 Live Assessment Monitoring: View student assessments in real-time.  Our live assessment monitoring provides a real-time view into how your classes and students are performing across a specific assessment, all assessments, and the standards.
  • May 5 2022 Edit Assessments: Twig Assessments are now fully editable. Teachers can now edit assessment images, titles and instructional text as well as any assessment questions. Custom assessments can be created, assigned and graded all from the Twig Science Assessment Center. 
  • March 28 2022 Prior Knowledge Resources: Each module now features a Prior Knowledge PDF to help you identify any potential knowledge gaps, as well as relevant context videos to help students learn any required prior knowledge. 
  • February 10 2022 Student Session Resources: Students now have access to  a carefully curated set of additional digital resources inside the student session.   
  • January 28 2022 Integrated 3D Challenges: Each module now features Integrated 3D Challenges to help students make cross-discipline connections by applying their growing knowledge of science concepts.
